About me

I came to counselling after a long career as a Dental Surgeon, having qualified from Guy’s Hospital London and I’ve been local to this area since 1976. In my time as a clinician I became experienced in working with anxiety and feel confident in my ability to put people at ease. I have always enjoyed working with people and wished to continue that connection when I finished being a dentist, so I moved on to counselling.

I trained and qualified as a Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor at Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling after retiring from my work as a dentist. As a registered counsellor I have been working in Salisbury and with Wimborne Therapy Centre for some time, at the same time as working for ‘Cruse’, having completed their training in Bereavement Care.

As a matter of record, my qualifications are: –
BDS (Guys Hospital),
Dip Counselling (BCPC) MBACP
Level 2 Foundation in ‘Awareness of Bereavement Care, Cruse

And I am continuously updating and expanding my knowledge and capabilities through Continuing Professional Studies.
